Job description

It is a process of inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and modelling data with the goal of discovering useful information, informing conclusions, and supporting decision-making

As a Data Analytics Analyst you will extract data from extensive databases and translates it into useful analyses, reports and recommendations. The purpose for this role is to support, manage, and organize electronic data. This role is responsible for gathering and interpreting relevant data to support business needs.

Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Computer Engineering or closely related field preferred

Requirements Analysis and Documentation Skill with good Verbal Communication

Database Security, System Administration and Promoting Process Improvement

Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team

Create stored procedures, macros, and Base SAS code to be used in forecasting and analysis efforts

Develop/Maintain/Enhance existing and new reporting initiatives and models required by the business

Meet with supervisor or department leader to evaluate business needs and propose new reporting/analytical solutions

Administrative responsibilities such as taking ownership of existing reports and migrate legacy reporting and analysis to SAS. Improve the process flows and streamline data feeds to optimize efficiencies across the organization)

Use statistical methods to analyze data and generate useful business reports

Use data to create models that depict trends in the customer base and the consumer population as a whole

Maintains data dictionary by revising and entering definitions.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Determines changes in physical database by studying project requirements; identifying database characteristics, such as location, amount of space, and access method

Changes database system by coding database descriptions

Protects database by developing access system; specifying user level of access

Maintains user reference by writing and rewriting database descriptions
